Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

(1) What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)?

Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a transparent, self-healing film applied to a vehicle's exterior to protect its paintwork from scratches, chips, and environmental damage such as bird droppings, tree sap, and UV rays. PPF helps preserve the vehicle's appearance and value over time.

(2) What are the benefits of window tinting?

Window tinting provides various benefits, including protection against harmful UV rays, reduced heat and glare, increased privacy and security, and enhanced vehicle aesthetics. Tinted windows can also improve energy efficiency by reducing the need for air conditioning during hot weather.

(3) How long does it take to install PPF and window tinting?

Installation times vary depending on the vehicle size, complexity, and the specific services requested. Generally, PPF installations can take anywhere from 4 to 24 hours in total labour alone, while window tinting typically requires 2 to 4 hours. Dwelling time is not included in this estimate.

Our technicians will provide a more accurate time estimate during your consultation.

(4) How long do PPF and window tinting last?

The longevity of PPF and window tinting depends on various factors, including film quality, installation, and maintenance.

Our PPF films are warranted to 10 years with proper care; while window tints have a limited lifetime warranty.

However, actual lifespan may vary based on factors such as climate, driving conditions, and maintenance practices.

(5) Will PPF or window tinting affect my vehicle's paint or glass?

PPF and window tinting films are specifically designed for automotive applications and will not damage your vehicle's paint or glass when installed correctly. In fact, PPF protects your paint from damage, while window tinting can help reduce the risk of glass shattering in an accident.

(6) Is it possible to remove PPF and window tinting if I change my mind?

Yes, both PPF and window tinting films can be removed by a professional without damaging the vehicle's paint or glass. However, we recommend consulting with our technicians before attempting any removal to ensure a safe and damage-free process.

(7) What is the warranty for your PPF and window tinting services?

Inception Automotive offers a limited warranty for our PPF and window tinting services, covering defects in materials and workmanship.

The warranty period varies depending on the specific film used.

Our technicians will provide detailed warranty information during your consultation.

(8) Can I wash my car after PPF or window tinting installation?

We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks after PPF installation and 7 days after window tinting before washing your car or cleaning the window tint.

This allows the film to cure and adhere properly to the vehicle's surface.

After the initial waiting period, you can wash your car as usual but avoid using abrasive or harsh cleaning products on the film.

(9) Are there any legal restrictions on window tinting?

Window tinting laws vary by location and typically regulate the level of darkness and reflectivity allowed. It is essential to check your local regulations to ensure compliance.

Our technicians can guide you in selecting a window tint that meets legal requirements in your area.

(10) Can I bring my own film for installation?

Inception Automotive is committed to providing high-quality installations using our carefully selected premium films.

To maintain our service quality and warranty coverage, we do not install customer-supplied films.

Rest assured, our selected films provide an optimal balance of performance and affordability to meet the needs of vehicle owners.
